Buzztime Determines Rookie Program a Success

May 29, 2008 - Offering support to new users through Rookie Program leads to increased satisfaction among bar and restaurant owners


CARLSBAD, Calif., May 29, 2008 -- NTN Buzztime, Inc. (Amex: NTN), a multi-point social interactive entertainment company, announced it will continue to offer the “Rookie Program” to assist newly subscribed operators of bars and restaurants to realize the full potential of their Buzztime service. The Buzztime® Network broadcasts to approximately 3,800 bars and restaurants across North America and the United Kingdom and features casual interactive games played on televisions at each location.
Buzztime developed the Rookie Program for bar and restaurant operators who are new subscribers to the Buzztime Network. The twelve-month program was created to support new sites from the first day they sign their contracts. The monthly plan includes programs designed to engage and train bar staff on the benefits of Buzztime’s service. Future Rookie Program participants will be receiving an expanded version of the program due to its success.

The Rookie Program provides an excellent foundation for creating and implementing successful programs that keep customers entertained and coming back for more. Since the start of the Rookie Program in April 2007, Buzztime has seen an increase in overall operator satisfaction and customer retention.

Rookie Program support includes Buzztime banners, table tents, and window clings, regional promotional posters and signage and individual training by the Regional Marketing Executive. In addition, the program includes a public relations toolkit with ideas on how locations can promote Buzztime at their location, and information on in-house programs that locations can utilize to increase game play. Coming soon, the Rookie Program will offer a Buzztime bar kit that includes bar runners, heavy duty bottle openers, stirrers and napkins.

Rookie Program participants also participate in Buzztime competitions against other newly subscribing restaurants. Prizes are awarded to both players and bar owners, creating a double incentive for locations to promote and utilize the Buzztime system.
