We are seeking an energetic individual to join our Executive Leadership team as a Vice President of Advertising Sales and Operations.  This high level position will have overall responsibility for management and administration of the Advertising Sales effort.  They will be directly responsible for managing day-to-day support, efforts and results of third party sales representation efforts.  This will involve working closely with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive advertising sales strategy and operating budget.  They will manage the strategy implementation, execution, promotions, decision and action plans, while participating in client and agency sales meetings.  They must respond to market direction, client needs and competition by being responsible for continuous improvement of all presentation materials, media kits, and video/on-line materials.  The Vice President will have management oversight of department activities to include, but not limited to, pricing strategies, rate card development & analysis, and traffic management system billing integration.


This position will be responsible for all Advertising Sales activities both in and out of the company.  They will manage and lead direct sales efforts with 3rd party sales firms by acting as the company expert in all meeting to ensure Buzztime interests are represented.  They will engage in lead generation and assist with negotiations and deal closures.  Will be responsible to draft and review all proposals and contracts, and will manage the execution of all completed sales agreements.  The Vice President will develop creative and new sales packages for clients, and assist with sales collateral development.  This role will be responsible to build and maintain strong relationships with direct clients and agencies to solidify the company role in the entertainment and advertising communities.


The final key role for this newly created position will be to develop and maintain an advertising traffic system to accurately track serviced advertisements.  The Vice President must manage the traffic issues related to inventory, used and billable, adjacencies, and contract stipulations as necessary to fulfill the terms of the contracts.  They will lead the effort to institute a tracking software package, and develop a billing and tracking database to accurately manage media agreements.


Must be available to travel up to 75% nationwide.


Education/Training and Experience:

We are looking for candidates who have a Bachelors Degree.  MBA degree is preferred.  6 or more years of direct /outside sales successes, including digital experience is required.  Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in new media OOH, ad/online, or cross-platform video sales experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the Out of Home, cross-platform video or digital and traditional advertising markets is required.  Strong knowledge of all digital metrics, advertising sales measurements and methodologies are also a job requirement.  Must be comfortable in the role of a direct sales executive, with demonstrated collaboration, pitch, presentation and communication skills.  Candidates should have solid networking skills and the ability to develop relationships with budget decision makers at advertising agencies and direct retailers.  Should be willing to attend business socials within the sales, media and digital entertainment communities.


The ideal candidate will have the ability to implement effective media plans and promotion elements to meet client marketing objectives.  They should have documented experience at fulfilling strategic goals, and a track record of structuring and managing deal negotiations to successful closure.  Vice President applicants should have experience developing and managing a high volume media sales tracking system.  They should have knowledge of how to track key indicators and pipeline analytics to drive necessary business plan adjustments.  Must have a solid understanding of rate structure, inventory management, budget development and execution.  They should be able to work and influence effectively across multiple cross-functional departments.
